Hello everyone,

Hope you doing well.

the interface is showing signal on the screen, however, the RCA output or TRS is not sending audio.

Troubleshooting:

[+] Deleting the audio interface software and controllers, cleaning the drive and re-installing the USB drivers, re-installing the MOTU installer.

[+] Verified the outputs were activated and giving signal on Windows and they are giving signal but still no audio.

[+] changed the cables, the same issue.

[+] The headphone output is giving a signal!!! And as you know it's a mirror of 1/2

[+] I ran the Windows troubleshooter and it's not giving any errors.

[+] I re-installed the firmware, and it's up to date.

[+] I looked for the latest updates and everything is up to date.

[+] Tried a different PC thinking it was my laptop in general.

[+] tried playing youtube changing the output 1/2 but still not audio, 3/4 is giving audio.

[+] placed both laptops in the maximum performance, and the same issue.

I purchased it for home usage, I'm studying Ableton and I'm a fan mixer and I use Traktor Pro 3.

I have 2 laptops:

toshiba Satellite P755 s5265 (it's old however, it's like a son to me so, it looks great)
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30GHz 2.30 GHz
6 GB RAM 1333
SSD 1TB
Windows 10 22h2

Legion 5
AMD Ryzen 7 6800 h
NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3070 Ti
32 GB DDR5
Windows 11 pro

I don't know what to do, I tried on both laptops and I'm assuming there's something wrong inside, something broken inside?

The first day was ok, but the next day (yesterday) it stopped giving audio. I'm thinking to return it and get the money back I purchased it with Amazon, however, I would like to try any workaround before returning.

Can you help me out?

What is the position of the input/playback knob? That's all I can think of.

Thanks for replying.

They are turned down. I just turned them up but nothing different happened. Moved the output to the 3-4 monitoring and turned the volumen up as well, I see signal but still no audio coming out

Since you used the word "They", I'm going to make sure we're talking about the same thing.

Step one is to make sure that it's working without the PC. Besides Jon's question about the Input Monitor Control (very important), please tell us what you have connected to the input jacks on the front and if there's anything connected to the Inputs in the back. Next we need to know how you have each of the buttons engaged—the monitor switches have three positions. Please use the manual for reference—this will make sure that everyone's using the same terminology.

Yes, I was talking about all of them. I pressed the 3-4 button and turned that knob up so I could get the signal.

I also moved the rest of them, and just got the same results.

Probably safest to park it at noon, so you get a balance of input & playback (just for testing purposes).

Please be careful to answer MH's questions thoroughly. He'll help you get sorted if you do.

Thanks for replying, sir.

I don't have anything connected to the inputs, I'm not monitoring the inputs and not even routing the inputs to the outputs. I purchased the interface to use it for Traktor by now.

As I said, I pressed the 3-4 button and turned the knob up that didn't change anything as I'm not connecting anything to the inputs 1/2 and 3/4.

I hear audio if connect the headphones to the headphone output, I was wondering if I might use the headphone output to connect it to one of my Xone channels but I think that output doesn't have enough power as the outputs on the back.

But the answer is that I wasn't using the inputs, I just turned them down or up as a troubleshooting. However, I don't have anything connected to the inputs.

The input monitor mix knob adjusts the balance you hear (either from headphones or monitor outs 1 & 2) between any sound coming from the inputs (fully counterclockwise), or hearing any audio sent to the outputs for playback.

If that doesn't fix it, it might be a hardware problem, like the big knob itself-- or perhaps something where the driver isn't configured right.

I wonder if you could test on a Mac somewhere, somehow-- to at least determine if it is a hardware issue.

I'm trying to get a microphone so, I can take the PC off the equation.

It worked on Mac!!!

I didn't have any issues there. Now I formatted both Windows 11 and 10 and they worked. However, I checked the latest updates and everything was up to date before formatting.

That was weird!!! So, as it's the first interface I purchased it's difficult to understand many things and I was not even gonna know that it was on Windows.

Last question. How do I mark this as solved?
