Making a separate topic so more people see it. Steinberg released MediaBay 1.1.80 which fixes the issues with their VIs and DP, which makes the (less than ideal workaround) of uninstalling MediaBay entirely unnecessary now.
You can just run the Steinberg Download Assistant and it will update automatically or direct download the Media Bay installer from the link at the top of this page:
