From the article...
Though, I hear ya. Pirating of music, software, books, etc, is just a huge drain on creativity because it removes a fair chunk of incentive. Someone who is creative, and who's music (software, novels) is loved, isn't going to spend much time at their craft if they are forced to get a day job at McDonalds because they are not rewarded. This is what pirates of all stripes are doing and it hurts every one of us, including the pirates!
I guess the upside is that, if music smuggling is anywhere near as profitable as gun smuggling, maybe the gun trade will start to diminish. I'd much rather have folks buying CD's on the street than guns"If they are caught smuggling CDs, the penalties are not as harsh as they would be for smuggling heroin or guns."

Yep, so true.
It would be nice if one ever produces a band as prolific as Green Day to still get paid in the end.
Napster is gloating that the physical CD is dead. Those guys are really assholes.

FYI, Britain is CD BABYs biggest sales source.
