Effecting input with aux tracks...?

Post by lestermagneto »

sorry if this question is dumb, i just am a bit frustrated and cant figure it out with the manual....
i have an audio track record enabled, being sent to a bus, and that bus being routed to an aux track. I am trying to audition sounds on guitar rig, or any other vst plug for that matter, and all i am getting through is my clean, unadulterated sound as it is recieved by my 828mk2. what am i doing wrong? none of the plugs work. i know there is probably a very simple solution, and i appreciate your response.

No need for an aux track IF you're just trying to audition FX; Just instantiate the plug you want to audition on the audio track's insert. Then refer to pgs 683-684 in DP 4.5 regarding input monitoring. These pages explain exactly what you are trying to do.

You should be up and running in no time.
