DP crashes, then OK

On the last few builds of DP 11, which I have on two computers, it often crashes the first time I open an old DP file on that computer, but opens without crashing on subsequent opens.

This isn't a project killer, but I wonder if this happens to anybody else.

Not unusual behavior. DP is rebuilding this and that as it opens an old file in the latest version and sometimes, something hiccups during the process, then out go the lights.

If you've not booted DP in Safe mode by holding the Shift key, try it. The audio engine will be disabled but the reason to do this now and then is to rebuild any corrupted paths and reset caches to default. After DP opens, Quit then reopen normally.

I assume part of this is due to my MO of starting a project in one room, working on the MIDI, moving it to another room with another system including different OS to record drums, then move it back to the first room for mixing.

New and even worse behavior is the file crashing DP in Room #2 on every attempt to open it. Fix is to start a New empty project, import the crashy DP file, then delete the default Chunk, and Save.

I have a refub iMac on order. I'll be able to run the same OS on both computers after I get it installed. Maybe that will end this issue.
