Hi,
DP10 here, I'm working on this video game with a lot of mono lines (thousands), and, once I finish preparing the soundbite (most of the times, small sentences), I use the drag and drop to export it to a prepared folder.
But I noticed that the VST effects used in my channel strip are not taken into account with this drag and drop.
Nor the bounces, nor exports.
Is there a faster way for DP to take into account my vst's (de clicks, compression, EQ...) without having to print each line ?
Thanks in advance
Export a soundbite (or bounce) with effects

That bounces don’t work should be easy to fix. My students have been through that but I don’t recall what they were doing wrong.
Any way to post some screen shots so we can see what you’re doing?
You can Shift Command 4 to get a cursor that lets you drag over the part you want to show us. Use the Attachments tab at the bottom to add the resulting .png images to your post.

Re: Export a soundbite (or bounce) with effects
I wouldn’t expect drag and drop to give you a file with effects printed. It’s pre-efffect. The effects not applied to the soundbite. That comes later in the signal path.
What you get will depends a lot on the export/bounce settings. The export options should include the output, not just the tracks, and indicate the output channel that you hear the effects on. Other settings are not necessarily going to give the signal after the point in the path where effects are applied.
(One of the reasons I wish MOTU would publish a signal path for DP)
Freezing all the tracks with effects works too. You can drag and drop the soundbites on the frozen tracks.
If you do a lot of this, you might want to set up a template where each of the tracks you want to export outputs to another track via a bus. When everything is good, set all of these output tracks to record mode and do a recording pass, The wet versions will be recorded and you can drag and drop the soundbites in those tracks to a folder on the desktop, or export the newly recorded tracks. One of the advantages of this approach is that you don’t need a one to one correspondence between the first set of tracks and second. You can route anything to anything, mix some sets of tracks and leave others as the original single track sounds, reduce the number of instances of any particular plugin, etc.
I know a few people have problems with bounce and export, and sometimes with VST effects, but I found following the setup instructions in the manual and being aware of the signal path gives consistent results.

Hello Mike, thank you for your message, I'll try to be as clear as possible, give me some time to put that togethermikehalloran wrote: ↑Sat Jun 18, 2022 11:57 am That bounces don’t work should be easy to fix. My students have been through that but I don’t recall what they were doing wrong.

Noted for the pre-effect.
I tried freezing before, but DP freezes in stereo, for some reason, and no option is available (in this project, all shall be in mono).
To be noted: I have to keep track of each soundbite with a specific name on it (video game related soundbite, so they all have a unique nametag). That's why I was using the drag and drop: cutting, fx, renaming, dragging and... done for one SB.
So there's that as well.
I'm thinking, in term of process, to do a first pass on everything (thousands of lines) to normalise, EQ, effects, RMS, then do a mono print of the whole thing, redo a second pass after to cut and rename and drag n drop.
Still too many operations to my taste... Still thinking !
Thanks for your input.
