16A as Dolby Atmos monitor controller

Post by clausiii »

Hi!
is it possible to use the 16A as a monitor controller for Dolby Atmos speaker setup (7.1.4)?

would it be possible to adjust gain on multiple outputs simultaneously? Can I link them?

Thanks
Claus

Hi Claus,

Please would you give further information regarding what you would like to do?

At ImmersiveDSP (www.immersivedsp.com), we have created a program, ImmerGo-MOTU that will enable immersive audio for any speaker setup, including the Dolby Atmos speaker setup you have detailed. It performs immersion by modifying aux sends of channels at quarter frame intervals. It also modifies reverb bus sends to add a sense of distance. The sound sources are derived from DAWs or multichannel wav files. We enabled the recording of timestamped positional data for the sources.

It might be that you are wanting to play back Dolby Atmos format files using both the audio and positional metadata?

I have added code for the 16A, but it is not tested. If you would be willing to test, that would be great!

Richard.
