Bits of audio vocals Vanished in DP 10.13

Post by Timeline »

I'm crushed. Vocal work seems lost. Other bits showing up in the wrong places from where they were recorded. Using "move to original timestamp" doesn't move them. It just happened the next day I opened the tune. Anyone else had this occur?

Have you tried checking Undo History...maybe go back a step or two and see if that helps.

Undo history question: no the file was simply saved in working condition. It appeared broken on start up the next day.
No backup but I'm back to doing that like I had to years ago. Very Sad.

Was it saved to a remote or the System drive?

If remote, shut down, disconnect and reconnect the drive. Restart.

Yikes!
I just had a similar situation.
Loaded a session from yesterday and there are missing bits.
Several tracks have been replaced with random soundbites from past projects.
I have several backups and will report back when I check it out.
I just did a Mojave security update.
Maybe that is messing with DP?
Yikes!
All is well

Hi Mike. Its always a remote drive from system. The fact that bits are moved around with different time stamps scares the crap out of me. Not just the missing files. It has to be DP otherwise how do the time stamps change? Now, when I see the list page of missing bites I know something went wrong. Sorry to hear that Water.... Join the club.

I definitely turned off Automatic Updates for my Mac Pro. Ran into a Security Update awhile back that hosed my boot drive. Thank goodness for the clone!
