I have a Motu Ultralite (not sure if its MK1,2 or 3... but my guess is MK1) with double firewire connection and won't turn on with the AC adapter or Bus power.
I checked the AC adapter and my Firewire cables and they work.
I wonder if there is a fuse inside the unit that might be blown or something else.

Re: Ultralite won't turn on
Look for bulging power supply caps — a known trouble spot when these get old enough.
Screens and backlights can also go bad — the unit's working but you can't tell.
Although MOTU does not publish schematics nor parts lists, most of the components are off the shelf at Mouser or other giant electronics supply houses.
There are old threads here and Gearslutz on these and the normal aging issues. Google is your friend.
Good luck!

The power supply is fine but now i am concern about something inside the unit.
Re: Ultralite won't turn on
If you are using the super old school ultralight (mk1) there seems to be a problem with FW to thunderbolt conversion and power. I have one and had this issue. I used:

To isolate the FW power and just use the adaptor to fix my issue.
Hope this helps.
