Hi all,
I thought I'd pass this on: Point updated to Catalina 10.15.7 from 10.15.6 yesterday. There seems to be some sort of conflict with iLok software. NONE of my license are recognized as activated on my dongle. (iLok application recognizes them as being there however.)
If I try to instantiate a plugin on a track, in every instance, I am asked to authorize the plugin. I opted to "authorize" one (to see what would happen). Initially it said it was authorized then almost immediately flashed to a dialogue box saying there had been an error.
Could be a coincidence, but prior to this update, no problems with iLok. Proceed cautiously.
If anyone has any info, please share. Thanks.
Cheers,
George

The 10.15.7 update was a few months ago and has had two supplemental updates since then. No one’s been reporting this issue.
I had to update the iLok License Manager—the update installer hung but when I forced a shutdown and rebooted, there was no problem with my iLok licenses. Neither of the supplemental updates has had an effect.

Thanks Mike.
It was the end of a long day and I was pulling my hair out trying different combinations of logging in and out, restarts, re-installing the iLok software, changing the port the dongle was plugged into, etc.
In the end, what seemed to work was going into the iLok application and synchronizing the dongle -- but it made a difference only after I signed out and signed back into the account. (Synchronizing without having signed out then back in had no effect.)
Go figure. Little gremlins like that pick the oddest times to show up.
Thanks again.
