Micro lite MIDI not getting through, Solution windows 10 x99

I just wanted to share my experience with a motu MIDI lite , i've just migrated from windows and had a new (to me) dell 5810 workstation x99 motherboard xeon 14core . i knew the micro lite worked i have been using it for the last few years on y old system .
The dell would recognise the device in device manager the ports would show up in any software that used MIDI the lites on the front of the device would flash showing they received MIDI but nothing would register in any software and if i sent any MIDI out of any of the ports they wouldn't get to the port of the MIDI out lites wouldn't flash

After a could of weeks of wanting to chuck my maschine out the window i found out my logitech mouse drivers were stopping it working
Clean install no mouse drivers and all is good
