Has anyone successfully bounced a 5.1 Quicktime movie?
I have done stereo ones for years, but was working on a 5.1 project and wanted to do a Quicktime bounce in 5.1 instead of stereo.
I picked the 5.1 audio output in the Quicktime export dialog, but it just kept giving me an error?
Thanks!

Re: 5.1 Quicktime Bounce -to - Disk
It’s been about 12 years since I did a 5.1 mix so it’s a little fuzzy. I do recall having to go through Compressor (Apple) to properly encode it for playback. I’ll try a quick 5.1 today to see what happens. Surely it must be possible. I seem to recall a mixer setting in the fold down section being critical.

Hey thanks!
This is an "unencoded" mix, by that I mean just straight 5.1, no Dolby or DTS or whatever, just making sure the correct 5.1 channels end up on the correct 5.1 broadcast .wav channels.
At the viewing end, they are just viewing in a regular studio off six channels of a regular 8-channel audio-interface straight into L R C LFE LS RS monitors, not an auto-decoding home-theatre-receiver system or whatever you want to call it?
Thanks!
