Zoom To Track?

Post by bayswater »

I hadn't noticed this before. But trying it out here, it crashes DP every time. Anyone use this successfully?

Can you just record the Zoom session using Zoom's record function, then import to DP after the fact? I don't remember if Zoom gives you any option to record audio only.

I was talking about the function in DP that zooms the Sequence Editor so a track takes up the entire height.

How are you doing this? On the rare occasions I do it, I use the + - arrows on the right.

Sorry, I've got Zoom on the brain, apparently!

I have "View Selection in Sequence Editor" assigned to one of my Wacom tablet pen buttons (my main pointing device), which does the same thing as you describe, I think... It opens whatever is selected (in any window) in Sequence Editor at the size of SE window.
I've never had any crash relating to this :-)

It's a command. View > Zoom > Zoom to Track. alt-cmd-z

Thanks for the suggestion. DP also crashes when I use this command.

I still can't duplicate this. Is it on all projects? On your MBP, too?

Yes, seems pretty general. Maybe it's specific to some graphics parameter. I'll try various screen sizes etc., and then see what tech links has to say. Thanks for testing.

Works fine here. ⌘ ^ (up arrow) works also.

That's what I use most of the time. But I also use the other zoom commands to get to specific views with one keystroke. This one looked useful for that scenario, but in it's stead I'd use the zoom tool rather than ⌘ ^
