dp3 g4 dual 887 track screne locks up and becomes unusable

Anybody have any trouble with their track screne dying, going blank, becoming unusable. My remedy is to just double click which ever file i'm working on and it refreshes but over the last 2 years, i've probably double clicked the thing 10's of thousands of times as it happens at least every 30 secs to 2 min. and most days i work 8-12 hours. Normally I wouldn't care, but my hands kill me half the time and i'd like to cut down double clicking.

I've got 1Gb of ram in the thing

that's an old bug in 3.0.

close and re-open the tracks window (apple+W, then shift+T).

it helps not to have the tracks window open all the way to the right.

you should update to 3.02 or newer.

Or even better, go to 3.11 while it's still at MOTU.
Stable, stable, stable on my Dual 867. Sometimes in my dreams I abandon OS X and go back there.

i still have my registration card in my book i never turned in

guess i'll have to mail that sucka in and look for 3.11 as i think what i'm using is 3.02

I had the same prob in DP3.0
so i went to D.P.3.11 and the same thing happend
I called MOTU about this and thay told me that thay had no intent
on fixing the prob! I told them that i payed for D.P.3.0
and that thay should fix it!!!!!! I told them that there were still some
people out there that were still in 9 who payed for the program
and thay should anoner it and fix it! Thay told me that
all thay were working on was D.P. For O.S.X
So i went back to D.P.2.7 in 9 and D.P. 4.6 in X
I wont to use D.P.3.0 realy bad and i payed good money for it
and MOTU should fix it!!!!!!!!!
I got so fed up with closing and re opening windows that i just gave up
and went back to 2.7 Maby if we all wrote to MOTU about this
maby thay would fix it!!!!

Also i tryed it on a 1.25 gig g4 a 800 mh g4 and a 400 mh g3
and it did the same on all machines

Hows dp 4 ? any issues w/ fx parameters changed or MIDI data screwed up or track lists screwed up when opening dp 3 files? I have 100s of pieces of music i still like to pick and choose from when making custom demos for film music submissions.....and alot of times i eigther didn't record audio or i recorded and mixed/mastered poorly and would have to redo stuff to make the file a viable product to sell myself.

I'm really concerned about opening dp3 files in dp4 and having everything in place.

D.P.4 Workes great for me i can open D.P.3.0 songs with it
but some things change!
1 thing though if i try to open D.P.3.0 Songs with autamation
on the tracks it will not open them!
So i have to go back to 9 and turn it off and then i can open
in D.P.4.
also D.P.4 is alot slower in x than in 9 at least for me
