Hello,
Has any of you had this issue?
The interface worked more or less fine (crackles and pops here and there, re-inputting USB would usually fix this) for a few years. But now I have an issue that is driving me crazy: it doesn't power on properly (or rather boot), when pressing the power button screen flickers for a while but nothing happens, turning it off and on for 3-5 times usually makes the interface turn on.
Sometimes there's a strange physical 'hiss' almost like air is going out of somewhere inside the interface and after a few of the turn-on/turn-off sequences it starts as it should and works until it's powered off. I have also found that when interface turns on properly there's a 'click' sound when power button is pressed and when it boots up there would be another click at the end of the loading sequence. When I don't hear those screen just stays on and needs a few tries to get it working. It seems like screen shows regular boot sequence but it's faded view (only seen at an angle) and it never turns on properly until screen shows properly.
Seems like the boot sequence is not happening properly or that something is 'fried' inside? Though why would it turn on after 3-5 times then?
Tried with no luck: factory rest, different USB port, searching online but nothing like this.
Have not tried: another PSU, as it's not easy to get one at the moment, I wonder if that would be a solution? I had no luck to find proper information what supply works? Is there a specific number or it can be higher wattage?
Thanks!

Hello, any thoughts? I have opened the interface and nothing seems burned or broken there.

I’ve read reports of power supply caps making noise as they get past their prime. There are reports here and on Gearslutz about this. Google is your friend.

Re: Ultralite MK3 Hybrid doesn't boot properly
Thanks for your reply! I have tried searching for this with no avail as I suspected power supply issues, the strange thing is that when it powers/boots correctly it stays on until shut down.
How can I identify which cap is power supply inside? Is there a part number? It sounds almost as if the noise comes just from behind the screen or from the screen, the screen kind of flickers/turns off while the noise is emitted.
Thanks!

Hello!
I have tried buying a new PSU and it solved the problem! So strange!! But something to keep in mind, it wasn't obvious as it did work after some time
