Motu Audio Express Youtube Sound not working

Hi, I've managed to configure everything to work with Ableton last night. The only problem was the pitch of external sound (Youtube videos/Soundcloud) would go down a bit while Ableton was active but returned to normal after Ableton is switched off.

I've woken up now and Youtube videos will only playback through my laptop speakers despite the sound destination being the Main outputs of the Audio Express. I've been troubleshooting the past hour but have had no success. This technical stuff is way beyond my comfort zone and I've no clue how to go about these things.

What happens after you reboot — you did, right? If not, try it and see what happens.

I have one old app that kills my system audio if I use it for over a half hour. My settings are unchanged and I’ve never figured out the cause. Rebooting restores the audio. Fortunately, I only use that app once a week to prepare for my church gig.

Pitch sounds like a sample rate problem. Set everything to 44.1kHz and see if that solves the pitch issue.

Hi thanks for your reply. I've try rebooting a few times and have had no luck. Will mess around with Sample Rates and what not once I have this sorted. Just to clarify, I use the Main Outputs that work within Ableton but nothing else.
