Ultrlite Mk3 Newbie Issue With No Audio Logic Pro X

Post by betawave31 »

Hello Everyone,

I recently acquired a MOTU Ultralite mk3 firewire audio interface with no software. I did download the MOTU audio setup btw.

I am using the interface to record three synths analog stereo inputs and then into Logic Pro X.

I managed to get the mix channels in the MOTU to have audio output only thru my headphones(I am ONLY using headphones for recording).

There is NO audio coming into Logic Pro X. Ive selected the device to be recognized within the Logic software but there are is no sound in the Logic mixing console.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

HAve you gone to the computers system setup and selected the interface as your general input/output device? If this is a mac under the "Sound" tab.

If so are you hearing computer audio such as alerts and iTunes or you tube audio for example.

Hi

Yes I chose the MOTU in the Mac audio system setup and in Logic Pro X.

I found out it was a setting in the MOTU Audio Setup app that runs in conjunction with the MOTU and Logic. It was merely choosing assign phones!

I got it working but its a pita compared to how easy the Focusrite Scarlet which was basically plug and play no added software! Thanks for the reply!
