Video editing software for these simple edits??

Post by FMiguelez »

Hello.

I took some piano lessons with Edna Golandsky in person, which I recorded with 2 camera angles (iPhone and GoPro Black 7). Now I need to edit them.

What I need to do is pretty simple, but I'm ignorant when it comes to video, and hopefully you guys can point me in the right direction and I can do it without purchasing an expensive app...

All I want to do is>

-- Change a video from portrait to landscape (or viceversa)
-- Sync and join the 2 video camera angles in one single video, so they both are landscape or portrait, one above or to the side of the other (this is the most important one)
-- Do a few basic cuts here and there
-- Set and apply a few simple color corrections (make it a little brighter)

-- While this is not a requirement (I could do it in DP), it would be nice if I could increase the volume gain a little and apply some compression/limiting.

That's it!

Right now I'm looking for iMovie tutorials to see if I can do it there, but so far no luck with those specific points. It would be SWEET if I could do those things there... Do you know if it's possible, or do I need a more pro app?

Thanks!

Tascam DM-24, MOTU Track 16, all Spectrasonics' stuff,
Vienna Instruments SUPER PACKAGE, Waves Mercury, slaved iMac and Mac Minis running VEP 7, etc.

OMG!

Thanks, but never mind.

This iMovie thing is so intuitive that I figured out how to do it just by staring at the app and watching a 4 minute intro video.
All what I wanted is right there. It was probably faster than typing my help post.

And it's "free"...

Done!

And you don't even have to :rtfmmad:
