This one took me a bit by surprise. I'm too busy at work to do more than skim so far, so don't know how current licenses are affected.

In a "final" email to all users and interested parties from Exponential Audio, it was assured that no existing licenses would be affected.

Yes, I would like to critique the video.

There's a familiar line in these kinds of promos: "We create tools for musicians not engineers." or variations of that thing. That's ok, they're saying we'll make it user-friendly. But sometimes the implication is that either the quality, or versatility or tweakability will be limited to make it idiot-proof. Then you end up with these useless "one-knob" plugins.

The script was annoying.

I have mixed feelings on Michaels new situation. Of the top folks who I respect in our industry, Michael is right up there. Provided iZotope gives him gobs of monies (which he absolutely deserves), and treats him with the respect he also deserves, then cool!

And perhaps, it will help give exposure to young whippersnappers, that there are tools, and then there are TOOLS! :)

Yeah, I'm kind of offended by that line. I'm a musician with two engineering degrees. And, just for the record, I hate it when they dumb down plugins for "easy use."

BTW, what's correct - plugins, plug ins or plug-ins?

That's just the kind of question an engineer would ask!!

It is plug-ins, says the know-it-all programmer type. ;-)
(I checked the documentation...)

The reason I still keep Ozone 5 Advanced in my toolkit is that I really like the Room and Hall reverbs still. I wasn't happy to see reverb gone in 6 and hope it comes back.

Otherwise, for my needs, I have many reverbs from many companies. If this video was supposed to get me excited, it didn't work.
