Hi everyone, I updated DP to v10 this morning and overall seems fine. I have a major issue though: I always work with chunk/clippings import/export in between different sessions to copy mix settings. Before DP10 all worked fine except that all the inputs/outputs were inactive (i had to re-assign all of them manually, inputs, outputs, sends).
This morning i tried with the new versions and yes, the outputs/inputs/sends are all active but with totally different numbers!
So for example if I had track 1: input 1, output bus 1-2, track 2: input 2, output bus 3-4, now i have everything different when i import that chunk to a different session (even though i'm using the same bundles template)
thanks for your help!
tracks/auxes wrong routing when importing clipping/chunk

Uh-oh... it seems that bundles problem didn't get fixed at all...
So if I understand you, you've been doing all that via Clippings and it doesn't work.
Have you tried doing it via the Load command and importing the bundles from there?
That does NOT work in my system either, but you can give it a shot in yours. If it's also buggy, please report back and send MOTU a tech link, otherwise they'll never change it (they haven't done so for years, when I first reported it).
Mac Mini Server i7 2.66 GHs/16 GB RAM / OSX 10.14 / DP 9.52
Tascam DM-24, MOTU Track 16, all Spectrasonics' stuff,
Vienna Instruments SUPER PACKAGE, Waves Mercury, slaved iMac and Mac Minis running VEP 7, etc.

Re: tracks/auxes wrong routing when importing clipping/chunk
yep... until 9.5 i could import clippings (or chunks) into a new session, and all the bundles/outputs/sends were correct but inactive. Now they're all active but they're all wrong and all the renamed outputs/buses are lost.
Load seems to work, but it's a different workflow and i'm not that used
I sent a tech link this morning, let's see what happens

Re: tracks/auxes wrong routing when importing clipping/chunk
I ran into that myself but assumed it was "normal".
What I did was log into my 9.52 version of the program, open the item and then exported my bundle to a file, then I imported that into it after opening it in 10.0.
BTW - do not just save your items opened in 10 - use save-as with a numeral 10 after it, for instance, just in case you will want to use the previous version it was originally created in without having to depend on v10 getting the "save-as" backward-compatibility thing right for now. Just in case...

Right - not here either. That is what prompted me to look for the other solution!simul wrote:yeah thanksterrybritton wrote:I ran into that myself but assumed it was "normal".

Terryi actually always have a backup of my bundles (also saved from 9ish version) but still it doesn't work when import the clipping in v10 (using that bundle file template)
