Harrison Mixbus 32C v5 seems to include AuSampler - like in Garageband...
and it can import exs...
I have a .exs library that dates from an earlier EXS install ( AU plugin ) that worked on the classic environment ... ( MDDs with Tiger installed )
Now I'd like to use this library with the AuSampler included in Mixbus,
with 10.7.5 or 10.8.5.
Can some kind soul explain in detail where the .exs / samples for exs are located in these 10.7.5 / 10.8.5 - resp. what folders have to be created to make this work without an Garageband / Mainstage / LogigXP installation
please ?
Much appreciated !
Thanks
Klaus

Re: AuSampler file locations ?
I don't know where they would exist without a Garageband / Mainstage / LogigXP installation except for an .exs library that I got as a freebie once.
Try to search in Finder/File/Find
In the top window, enter EXS Instrument
In a lower window, select File extension from the dropdown menu and enter .exs in the window
This should bring them all up. Click on any instrument to see the path. For example, my GB instruments are here:
Library/Application Support/GarageBand/Instrument Library/Sampler/Sampler Instruments
I know that GB is free nowadays but don't know if the version you can get from the App Store is compatible with OS 10.7.

Re: AuSampler file locations ?
Thank you Mike !
My search brought up that there have to be folders with exactly the name Logic etc. would create...
Now depending on the version of Logic these names are even different...
well, maybe I have time to dive into that
I probably need to know the folder names / locations for Logic Pro, since Logic Pro X seems to be for a later version...than 10.7
Thanks anyway
Best regards
Klaus
