Please add to whatever you send to MOTU to this topic for m-nation users. Below is what I sent to the MOTU suggestion box.

1) Please add Channel note box with shortcut or button to channel strip below fader
2) Please make name and color bar an option for the top of the mixer window in addition to the fader so when faders are hidden visual navigation by name and color is still possible.
3) Standardize width of channel strips. It should be 24 channels on 1920x1080 monitors. Or please include a mixer option to increase the width.
4) Please make an option to break out the automation and separate from the mute/solo/record/input section.
5) Please add color coding to the entire channel strip.
6) Please make an optional long throw fader to allow use with touchscreen monitors.
7) Please send track show / hide data out the Mackie control ports so only channels will show on controllers. Having all tracks show all the time is not helpful.
8... Use Tab or arrow to next Channel in Mixer Window when naming after highlighting with option key.

• Chunk folders.

• The ability to select any set of data (music or sound) and save the selection, preferably with multiple color coding and naming) and the ability to recall the selection elsewhere (along the lines of clippings) and process that selection separately from the rest of a sequence or project (including pasting, of course).

• Improve the view capabilities and add editing capabilities to the NOTATION window.

• Add insanely well implemented notation capabilities to rival and exceed Finale and Sibelius and the Dorito thing from Steinberg.

VCA Faders !

An automatical nummering from the tracks in the Sequence Editor. Example: when I open a Track ( Audio,MIDI Vst, etc. ) as first Track he should be automatical get the Number 1 and so long, or I would change maybe the Track 12 to the position 15 or whatever, this would be very fine by working with Controlers.

-Fix audio automation and MIDI CCs and Conductor Track tempo, so unwanted ramps are NOT created after simple time-line edits such as snip and paste

- Make takes follow time-line edits as an option

- Make Clippings retain bundle assignments

Probably too late for DP 10. That must be well past the User Requirement stage by now. But here's my long time list

- Select the tabs you want to appear in the Consolidated Window.
- Be able to put the Track Window in a Sidebar.
- Allow multiple instances (at least 3) of the Mixer, each configurable with a different set of components and its own track selector.
- Be able to attach the Meter Bridge to the Mixer so each meter is part of the channel strip.
- Make the fader throw resizable.
- Make the Notation Editor vertically resizable, and make it possible to physically line up it's time line with the time lines of other editors.
- Make it possible for the user to completely control parsing of events in the Track WIndow.
- Make note names in the Drum Editor a preset that is a completely independent object (not linked to MIDI Devices) that can be saved and used in other projects.
- Be able to hide unused note lanes in the MIDI Editor.
- Increase font sizes in most windows, or make the font size an option.
- Allow each sequence in the Song Window to use its own temp map rather than all sequences following a common tempo.
- While playing a Soundbite in the Waveform Editor, let the user select a sequence that contains the soundbite to play back in sync with it.

Cool, but not quite what I had in mind. First, I don't have a Raven and probably never will. Second, I want to have all the views on the screen at the same time as separate windows.

Apologies if some of these features are available already

-Bring back "bite gain" level in sequence editor info bar, since upgrading to DP9 it has disappeared and I have to go to "Event Info" to set it.
-Spaces doesn't play so nice when plugin windows are floating on top, please fix
-Revamp gui on MX4
-include Mach 5 or some kind of more robust sampler
-bump up all fonts a couple points or have the option to
-play wiper stay visible when dragging data in seq editor
-"snap" to wiper position toggle key
-new reverb that is algorithm based, not convolution
-turning on "mix mode" saves your current mix as "mix 1"
-DDP authoring
-ability to run as rewire slave
-increase fader throw...already mentioned but sorely needed from a design standpoint
-enhanced metering modes
-revamped MIDI sync preference window, it can be hard to tell what is going where with the dropdown menus. A grid like thing would be awesome, like Clockworks.
