I just purchased a new MacPro and am moving my very large orchestral template over to the new machine. Does anyone know where User Inserts are stored for DP on a Mac?
Thanks!
Rik

Re: Where are DP's User Inserts stored
That's a good question. I've never had to worry about it when moving projects, because the settings (presets for VI's & FX) traveled with the project without issue.
However, there can be some problems when I update a VI or Plugin and DP loses the link to the previous version. To prepare for that I need to go in and save all the VI's presets manually before archiving a project. I also will often print audio tracks of VI's that are frequently updated (like Pianoteq). Just to make sure I can get back to where I was in a hurry if necessary.
I know this isn't what you were asking. I don't know for sure how your VI/FX handle this.
You could start here:
User/Library (hidden)/Audio/Presets
Since that user library is hidden in some OS versions, you have to press and hold OPTION while you access the Go menu in Finder. That reveals the Library folder. You can put that library folder in your sidebar for easier access.

Re: Where are DP's User Inserts stored
Thanks Stubbsonic
I solved the problem. I just had to authorize the program and all my builds appeared. I guess that they do not reside in the insert settings in DP. That is why I could not locate them! I guess Virtual Sound Stage operates a bit differently! The thought of setting up all of my orchestral instrument placements made me sick! Glad that I solved this! They are all loaded and ready to go!
