MACH 5 INSTALL PROBLEMS!!!

Post by gary lindberg »

Can anyone help??!!
I recently bought mach 5 - v 1.2 off a private sale on Ebay to use on my G4(OS 10.3.6) along with Pro Tool 6.4. Came with discs & ilok dongle. First of all the install disc was damaged and would not intall. I was then sent a new burned copy. Everything then seemed to install in its proper folders/locations etc. I was surprised that at no time during the install was I asked for a serial or authorization no. Is this correct?? Should the ilok come with an authorization card or chip?? I didnt receive one. Anyway the problem is that I cannot access any sounds through the file browser when opend up! If I reselect the SOUND FOLDER and open one of the files, all the patches are "greyed out"!!. Basically nothing I try works. Is this a security issue? Can I buy and or download a new authoriztion from Motu. Is there anything I can do to get the Mach five running. I was told all along from the seller that there would be no problem with the ilok etc.- DESPERATELY NEED HELP!! - gl

I can't remember exactly how I installed it the first time.
But for sure you have to plug the dongle in.
The authorization is in the dongle.

May be you should go to www.ilok.com and check if the dongle you have now has anyting in it.
I hate to think that you bought and empty one.

I transfered all of my serial codes to one and now I have 2 empty ones.

I think you should call MOTU asap to make sure you didn't receive a bogus box.
