Click audio out of sync from timeline DP 8
Is there a way to correct this? It's happened several times. Anyone know why this happens?

Look ahead limiter or other plugin on the master.

Oh Right ! Forgot about that. So is there a way to have a master in rather than pull the master plugs? Maybe a delay plug to align clicks without accent. I really miss analog...

Sorry if this is an ignorant question, but is this a case of a plug-in's latency compensation being a fixed value? And compressors with look-ahead have a changing latency? Does this affect non-MOTU plugs or all of them? I would think at least MOTU's should adjust the playback (even with a slight delay after hitting play/rec.
That would be a reasonable feature request.

I agree.
For now I was able to get close using precision delay UAD plug and setting the click page to no accent. It's not perfect but close enough to play to. The count off is uneven bars but usable as well. Thanks. GB

Re: Click audio out of sync from timeline DP 8
Buss the Click to another output.
I have my click returning to DP mixer on its own fader. I have sends set up on that fader (aux track) so I can route click to monitor mixes at different volumes. As long as the click doesn't pass thru the Master (with the look-ahead plugin), it will be in time.
Or use the Shooshie approach: save your mix as Duplicate, then create a new mix for recording sans plugins. Change back to your real mix once overdubbing is finished.

Thanks HC yep, those would work too although I'm good now. I guess I forgot about sending out the click. Man I'm getting old and lazy.
Thanks

Re: Click audio out of sync from timeline DP 8
I just create a stereo track right next to the master fader and when I want to use the click, I simply drag the master plugins over to the blank stereo track. When I'm done recording, drag them back to the Master. This avoids having to lose your plugin settings if you were to just delete them off the master, and you don't have to fiddle with saving presets or anything else.

A simple but brilliant idea although you might just be able to select the output to different busses using this idea. Thanks man, thats how I roll in the futurerainmaker wrote:I just create a stereo track right next to the master fader and when I want to use the click, I simply drag the master plugins over to the blank stereo track.
