MachFive samples sound distorted

Hi, anyone help?, sometimes when i load samples into machfive they sound distorted.

er, going to sound obvious, but...

have you made sure that the mach 5 volume is turned down in the mixer (so it doesn't go into the red). i've always found that bringing up a new mach 5 track almost always peaks straight away, and need to take it down about 10 db

Yeah, M5 has its individual patch volumes and it master volume. I find a lot of samples load in loud and subsequently clip. Just got to turn them down. I dial down the patch volume.
