DP9 external sync glitch

Post by azimuth124 »

Hello,

Currently running DP9, syncing two laptops. Longitudinal Timecode exits computer A, through a rosendahl MIF4, which then outputs via MTC to an express 128 connected to the B computer. The reason for this, is so that if laptop A stops, B will continue to run, as the MIF continues generating the MTC to the B computer.

Anyway- onto the issue. The B computer works perfectly fine, except once in a while, the play head jumps far ahead of where the track is actually playing. The audio is unaffected, but of course if it jumps to the end of a chunk, it then advances to the next chunk. When the play head jumps, it sits and waits- the counters stop completely, but the track plays as normal. Unless of course it jumps to the end of a chunk.

Anyone had anything like this happen to them?

Thanks.
