Sample Cell Transfers

Post by dynamix »

Any luck anybody?

Only half of mine worked. Synclavier Percussion Library 1 & 2 worked great. But my most expensive disc. Miroslav Strings didn't work at all. Clearmountain Drums II also a no go. None to the kits transferred. Could never get to the bottom of it though I worked with MOTU for several weeks on the problem continuously updating my UVI extract.

Its been months since I've given up, maybe I'll try again if I can scrape up the time for this futility.

Some samplecell disks (like the Clearmountain disk) are explained away by several translators (Mach V, Kontakt, CD extract) as being Samplecell I (ONE) disks, and that though they claim they translate Samplecell disks, uh, they don't translate "Samplecell I" disks. There are some initially encouraging results using Chicken systems "Translator" to translate some "Samplecell I" disks into "Kontakt" format. Maybe "Translator" will do the same into MachV format? and maybe it is (ironically) the WIndows version of Translator that translates from Samplecell I format? Check with Chicken Systems (and it didn't work they way they said, it took trial and error- translating the whole SCI disks didn't work, but folder by folder was not too hard ("snares" "Kicks" etc.).

Good Luck

Thanks Spirit,

Of course they would happen to be my most valued disks.
