DP9 & Mac Yosimite audio problem
Im hoping that some one can help me. I just got DP9 and im using a fairly new iMac with OSX Yosemite. I've loaded the software and hooked up my presonus firestudio and recorded a track to test it, the problem im having is that there is no audio coming through the internal speakers. Im hoping to run my mackie monitors through the microphone jack on my iMac. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks

Try hooking your speakers up to the audio interface.

The only audio output option on the firestudio is the headphone jack.

What are you talking about? The Firestudio (discontinued though it may be) appears to have tons of outputs.Northerner77 wrote:The only audio output option on the firestudio is the headphone jack.

I'm all about helping you find a solution to your problem, but I'm not sure I understand the problem yet.

Re: DP9 & Mac Yosimite audio problem
You don't say which FireStudio you have but even the smallest one has a pair of output jacks. Hook your monitors up to that.
DP wants your inputs and outputs to be the same device.

Re: DP9 & Mac Yosimite audio problem
Thanks for the responses Mike, I actually have the old Firepod. and yes, there are outputs on the back... I just recently switched from a Windows PC to Mac so things are a lot different. I think you've answered my question by your last response, I'll hook my monitors straight to the Firepod outputs. Thanks again.

Re: DP9 & Mac Yosimite audio problem
I was running Cubase before and I was able to switch between the Firepod and a high end M-audio sound card when I needed to edit tracks.
