DP9 crashing consistently

I'm not really the type of guy to post about new version gripes, but I can't get anything to work in DP9 without a crash. Window set change = crash, save = crash, bounce = crash, insert anything = crash. I get this feeling like every time I use a key command, it causes a crash. The crash window comes up saying it can't identify the cause of the crash, but I still send them to MOTU every time.

Is anyone else having this problem? I really love v9 so far.... when it works.

Try reinstalling, rebooting and repairing permissions first. Then see if you still have a problem – many don't.

If it happens while in DP 9, open the Background Processing window and see if that gives you a clue.

If while loading DP, open Console and see what is loading or failing to load. If it's the Mackie HUI plugin, go back to my first suggestion and do it again (after one OS update, I had to reinstall DP three times in a row to fix the problem).

Trashing Prefs may help but usually doesn't. I wouldn't try that till I have done the above.

It's interesting... I just repaired disk permissions, and it singled out the MAS plugin as having a group problem (and fixed it). Guess we'll see if that helped. Thanks!

I tried this after a reinstall and got the same permission fix. Unfortunately, it hasn't helped me.
