i see some rumors on this forum about a v2, where has everyone heard such info because i would like to read a bit more about this "new version"

The new M5 features are documented on the MOTU site, somewhere under MachFive. Might have to dig to find it.

You can also do a Google search for NAMM and MachFive version 2 and pop up related info.

It looks to be a significant upgrade.
