2 Questions Regarding Movie Syncing/Audio

I recorded a live video of a band.

Its about 10 songs in all.

1. When i import the edited VIDEO file, the audio isn't playing through the selected (or any output). The only way the videos audio will play is when i click on the LOCK icon in the movie player.
Any suggestions?

2. Is there an easy way to sync the movie start position to where I want it to start in DP? Obviously the edited video doesn't start where we rolled audio so i need to sync them up via the slate points. And, with the videos audio not playing, its very time consuming.
Any trick to doing this efficiently?

Not sure why. Try Importing movie audio first (instead of playing straight from movie). Then you'll see the wave form, like any other normal audio file.
