DP8 and MidiOverLan - MIDI lag problems to slave PC

Post by kdm »

I am just getting back to DP8 and seeing very poor response with MidiOverLan to my slave. From key hit on my controller to the MIDI driver responding is around 0.5 seconds. I can see the lag in MOL's local MIDI monitor on the host, so it isn't a lag at the slave, due to ASIO drivers, or the round trip for MIDI to, and audio from the slave.

Local MIDI is fine - VEPro setup locally responds as it should. The same setup in Nuendo works perfectly - no lag.

I am using the latest version of MOL (and had tested 3.3.900 as well). I've tested DP 8.07, 8.06 and 8.05 - all with the same results.

Any ideas?

Solved - deleted preferences. Lag is gone.

Glad you got it solved, I was going to tell you I am running MOL (newest version) on two Windows 7 64-bit machines and it works perfectly, so your issue was probably indigenous to your system.
