Removing Unwanted Effects
I am using Digital Performer, I inserted a plug-in effect from the mixing board then tried to adjust it in the sequence window. I didn't like it so I deleted it but I am noticing these dotted lines and the drop-down says missing. Below is a picture of what I'm talking about squared in red:

First off, it seems this post should be under general use, not user showcase.
To answer your question, those lines are automation data for the (now deleted) pug-ins. If you select one of those items from the menu you've highlighted, it becomes editable and eraseable in the sequence editor.
