I've tinkered with the iOS version. It's impressive. Seems like a totally different ballgame than the Line6 pod action.
I think the ability to demo the program on iOS and then have a more integrated desktop version is actually a pretty cool model. For me, I don't use amp sim enough to justify the desktop version, but I think positive grid is making a smart move. It will also allow for more flexible FX routing.
