2 MTP AV Connect

Post by vincenzo »

I Just bought the MTP AV USB to use on OSX.

Previouly, I use the old MTP AV Serial w/ Keyspan USB-serial adapter on my G4 OS9 work fine.

Now I want to use both together. However, I never get this 2 MTP AV work together.

The setup
MTP AV USB: Box 1-8 net port = mtp
MTP AV Serial: Box 9-16 net port = mtp
Connected the serial cable From net port to Net port

in OS9 FreeMidi onlt can see the MTP AV USB
in OSX AudioMidi setup only can see the MTP AV USB

What's wrong?
Can anybody tell me?

Vincenzo...

I'm running the same MPT AV-MTP network that you are.

In OSX, in the Audio-MIDI Setup you will only see 1 device but it should have 16 ins and outs-obviously 9-16 is your networked serial MTP.

I recall that in OS9/DP 3.11 in FreeMidi setup, I would only see 1 MTP but it, too, had 16 ins and outs. (1-8 MTP AV, 9-16 MTP)

Does this help?
Early 2009 Mac Pro 4,1>5,1 3.33 GHz Hex Core Intel Xeon OS X 10.8.5 SSD (32 gigs RAM)
DP 9.51 PCI-424e / original 2408, 2408mkII, 24I/O, MTP-AV

Yamaha C7 Conservatory Grand
Hammond B-3 / Leslie 145
Focal Twin6 Be(s)
