Track specific MIDI input filter?

Post by etl17 »

Here is what I try to do:

Setup two virtual instruments on two instrument tracks (let's say piano and strings). Being able to play through (monitor) both at the same time. I also want the piano instrument to get all of the MIDI events that originate from my MIDI controller, but I want to filter controller 64 (sustain) going to the strings instrument. In Cubase this is really straightforward using the input transformer of the strings instrument track. I don't know how to do this in DP...

Any help and thoughts will be appreciated!

Take a look at the Reassign MIDI plug - maybe something there.

Thank you NazRat.
I guess I could reassign CC 64 to something else, maybe some meaningless NRPN, but I was hoping that there would be a better way to introduce a MIDI filter in a similar way as the Reassign plugin.

Maybe an easy feature request for MOTU.....
