Suddenly, MIDI F# 3 wont play in DP 7.24/ RESOLVED!
This is weird and cropped up recently out of nowhere.
I cannot play F# 3 in Dp. Long story short, it's definitely not my controller keyboard. The problem is in DP. Its as if one note is being filtered out.
Everything works fine in Logic Pro as a test. Standalone VI's work just fine. But the minute I startup DP, I am unable to play that one note.
As another test, I set it so the recording/playing starts when a key is pressed. Well, indeed, that F# 3 when pressed starts the sequence. In fact, when I record in a MIDI track, everything records fine including aftertouch on that note. But the actual note wont play or record. Just that note. So odd.
Im a 30 year DP/pro composer and I'm just baffled at this new development. Knowing me, I have probably done something wrong accidentally, but cannot for the life of me figure out what it was.
Has anyone seen this? Help?
Thank you in advance.
Best, Kevin

Yes I remember this happening. The note is assigned to a command.
Check your commands in DP, mine was usually assigned to a chunk if I remember correctly. Strange..

Len! That was it! I can't thank you enough. It was indeed in commands under chunk.
I wasted hours on this and fixed it in 30 seconds.
I owe you a pint.

Bizarrely, the exact same problem happened to me. F#3! It was assigned to Chunk selection for the default sequence "Seq-1". I wonder why we both had problems with the same note? For me, this happened shortly after migrating to a new Mac.

Long standing DP bug. It's bitten a lot of folks (myself included). Truly a mystery his that MIDI command sets itself.

I've been bitten by this as well. I was sure that my keyboard had developed a malfunctioning F#. Hasn't happened for a while, thankfully.

It happened to me years ago and I thought I'd have to buy a new keyboard. Fortunately not.

I've been already got by this one a few times...
Some sort of *assign to command* shortcut I did without noticing, I guess.
