I just noticed my last couple of sessions the audio files were not saving into the session audio files folder but onto another drive into an older session. I checked the preferences and the box is checked to save audio files to session audio file folder - After scratching my head a little I opened a new test session and performed an audio test - sure enough the files were going to the wrong drive again - I went to the user and system library preference folder and deleted all MOTU related items. Opened a new blank session. performed the audio test again. Now the files are saving to the correct session folder. Opened the session I was having issues with and saved it as a template - opened a new session from the newly created template and performed the audio test again - files are saving to the incorrect drive - My conclusion is that the template or session I created the template from has a glitch - Why it is saving the audio to the incorrect drive and session folder is a mystery to me.
Has anyone else ever experienced this? Help appreciated.

Re: Audio file saving issue
What's it say under "take folder" in the Audio Monitor window?

Re: Audio file saving issue
The "Set Take Folder" option is greyed out.

Re: Audio file saving issue
Yes, it might be. From p241 DP8:
"As soon as you record-enable an audio track, Digital Performer automatically creates an audio file with a name that matches the name of the track being recorded into, followed by a take number (e.g. Guitar-3)."
The key here is record-enable. Tracks don't show up in the list until you record-enable them. You can then select the track name/names in the list and set the take folder. With nothing selected Set Take Folder is greyed. Seems a little odd to me, but that's how it works.
So, record enable the tracks you're having a problem with and see what is listed as their take folders.
