ultraliite mk iii hybrid and logic pro x

Sorry but I can't figure how to manage it...
I've connected my main 3 workstations to the inputs 3-4 / 5-6 / 7-8 (stereo pairs).
main outs of my mk iii hybrid go to mixer.
my mk iii hybrid is connected to my macbook pro through firewire port.
i can listen through my mk iii hybrid (audio flow going from the card to the mixer and then to the active monitors)
while playing i can see on the mk iii display bars moving up and down (e.g. analog in 5-6 and main analog out L&R), but...
I've tried all the combinations with cue mix fx and motu audio setup, but, when I launch logic pro or ableton live, I cannot see any input signal and so i cannot record it.
what I'm missing?

You also might try looking through the conversations there. It's possible that the solution - or a clue towards it - might be there already.
