MIDI driver issues still.....

After the latest issue with the new drivers...and then MOTU sending us an update that apparently went back to the old drivers I'm having this weird issue. I Use a Mackie Control Universal and the faders work the faders in DP EXCEPT if a track is record enabled...I have never seen this before.....I can mouse the record enabled track fader fine but it doesn't respond to input from the mackie control. when I take record enable off then the fader responds to mackie control...very bizarre......???? Anyone else notice this...?? Mark

sounds strange, but I can't see how that would have anything to do with the MIDI driver...

It seems to be a MIDI communication issue or something....? It is the strangest thing I've seen. Why would having a track record enabled stop its MIDI input sensing...?

When there is some bizarre issue that some have and others don't, it's usually a driver, so you may be right that it's the MIDI driver. I'd pretty much guarantee that those who have the problem will also have the same version of driver as you, or else the same history of installing the bad one, then replacing it with another. Those who don't experience any problems probably did not update the driver, and are still using the one that has worked all along. MIDI drivers can cause some really strange problems. It's a good candidate.

It'd be worth noting what drivers you've got when you take either side of this issue.
