10.8.3 or DP 8.04... which broke the Radikal SAC?

I'll do some backtracking and find out when this started, but has anyone else noticed that under OSX 10.8.3 in DP 8.0.4, that if you move a Radikal SAC 2.2 fader all the way up to the top, the corresponding fader in DP drops to ∞ ?

Further research indicates that this problem only shows up when starting DP in 64-bit mode, was present at least as far back as 8.01 and is independent of the OS.

Gary,
so are you saying that with DP 8 in 64 bit, when you move a Radikal SAC fader all the way up, the DP fader on screen acts inverted and goes all the way down? Are you saying the Radikal fader moves are inverted on DP? Is this the only problem (by itself, a pretty major one if I understand the problem you're describing correctly)?
Do you think we need the Radical control surface bundle updated to work in DP 8 in 64 bit? As you may know from the main forum, someone contacted the programmer for the AlphaTrack control surface and he created a new control surface bundle for it a few weeks ago (and is selling it for $50). Do you think we, as fellow Radikal SAC-2K owners, should see if this programmer or some other programmer can write a new control surface bundle to get the Radikal SAC-2K working properly in DP 8 64 bit mode?
Thanks,
David

In 64-bit, when you move a SAC fader to the very top, it causes the corresponding fader in DP 8 to go down to the bottom, taking the audio with it. My guess it that it has more to do with the SAC driver than the DP file, since that was my answer when I filed a DP trouble ticket.
Since I don't do VI's, for the moment I am staying in 32bit mode. I'm not holding my breath for an update from RADIKAL since they haven't supported the product for years. I would gladly pay $50 for an updated driver from RADIKAL that restore USB functionality as well as 64 bit operation.

Thanks, Gary. Same here. I'm thinking maybe the programmer who did the AlphaTrack control surface bundle update might be able to do this too for our Radical SAC's. I think I might ask how to contact him in that other thread about the AlphaTrack control surface bundle update which just got done and released for $50.
On a related note, I noticed when I last had the SAC hooked up that a couple of the faders started getting a bit sticky, and wouldn't follow DP well. I've tried compressed air but that didn't help. They were totally smooth at first but a couple did get a bit sticky.
Do you ever get that problem with the SAC faders and how do you fix or deal with it?

Add me to the list. I would happily pay for the SAC-2K to be fixed.

My fader #1 has always had this problem (bought the unit used). I feel that cleaning these kinds of faders with any kind of solvent only makes things worse long term; so I'm the lookout for replacement faders.

Can't hurt to ask!
