I noticed in DP8 that when I add a new audio track or start a new session all the audio tracks come armed to record automation. Now I realize I can command or option click to disarm them all at once however - does anyone know if this can be disabled? I searched the manual and the preferences and can't find it anywhere.

Strange behavior. Never happened on my system. Some preset must be chosen or there might be another reason. Need to investigate on this one...

Look under Setup>Automation Setup
On the right hand panel uncheck Enable Automation Playback and Enable Automation Recording, and then click Save as Default for Audio Tracks at the bottom of the panel.
That should do it.
