Hi everyone,
when i use coutoff there's always an hesitation before the 1st beat following the countoff, i've been having this problem for a long time but i usually bypass it by adding 1 measure at the start of a cue, but this is not handy when you want to start recording in the middle of a cue.
I noticed that this only happens when my movie is locked to DP. If i unlock the movie, it stops chasing DP and the coutoff is perfect. Again not handy when scoring to picture ; )
Any ideas?
TIA
Claude

I have this exact same problem and haven't been able to find a solution.

Re: Countoff Glitch
I have noticed this in versions stretching back quite a ways. I think its most noticeable when I use the 2 measure counting. Adding an extra measure or two and not using this feature helps get me back on track.
However, I use an external (old) Roland MIDI drum module to generate my click, and I'm thinking that the problem is in that hardware. I imagine that if every DP user experienced this problem to the degree of obviousness that I hear it there would be a huge outcry!

Re: Countoff Glitch
There used to be a little bottle-neck when sending out program changes, pans and volumes all on beat one.
Back in the day, there was also some (unwritten) rule about starting time code at 1:00:00 rather than 00:00 because of the pre-roll wrap from 23:59:59.29 back to zero. Of course this is a red-herring.
I wonder if it might be related to some buffer settings or other?
