828mk2, usb 3.0

hello,
got my 828mk2 (usb) for some time with all the troubles others are reporting (noises, crackles and stuff..) until i found my laptop had massive latency issues. so i got myself a new, really fast, zero-latency-issues-laptop (sony z,i7, 8gig,w7,64bit) - and see: no more noises! ...but only because the laptop freezes completely (must be hard resetted!) in the moment i open cuemix or my daw (ableton).
the laptop has only usb 3.0 ports and there´s quite some mismatch between official motu saying 'usb 3.0 no problem' and others, including me, experiencing 'doesn´t work at all'.
in the meantime there are fw-updates published for the 828s 'improving' usb 3.0 functionality, but only for the mk3s!!
so, will there be updates for the mk2?
has anyone his 828mk2 running on a usb 3.0 port?

by the way: rme babyface is running smoothly with 48 samples.
