I have a G5 using DP 5.13 an older macbook pro with Kontakt 4 and DP 6.01, motu 896,motu MIDI xpress xt, and a Yamaha M08. and a couple external drives
Campbell at motu has been nothing less than amazing helping me replace my 896 for 100 bucks ..(Thanks I got the tip here) and has helped me somewhat configure the macbook as a slave to the Mo8 usb to the G5.
I can create a network to get MIDI from laptop to G5 I am wondering if I can use M08 to get MIDI to this also.
OK so..
I know my stuff is older but its definitely doable I am starting to get some good work in as the money flows I will bug you about upgrades .In the meanwhile anyone have an optimal setup with equipment listing above..I am using for film tailors ,songwriting and short media. The word is get your sounds together and we can use your work so cool then my drive crashed than the 896 broke so now i am back.Sorry for the long introduction I am very impressed with this forum and felt its time for me to chime in.
