Key switching and layering presets?

Hello, I'm running Machfive 3. I use the VSL library as my main instrument and I am very used to being able to switch between a legato and a staccato string patch. They are also built-in switches via the mod wheel. Are there any presets in strings, brass, and woodwinds in Machfive 3 that have these capabilities built in? If not, is there an easy way to set something like that up inside the program? Thanks!
