Maybe I've missed something but in DP8 I don't seem to be able to drag a soundbite faster or slower as I could in DP7. I use to get a different cursor when I moused over the corner of the soundbite and could stretch or compress it. Now I can't.
Check to see if you've got the arrow tool selected. If not, tapping the A key twice will select it. And once it's selected see if that problem is still happening. While I don't use that feature very much, I see the cursor change to it fairly regularly, and I've used it in the past several months.
In fact, I just checked, and it's still there. You're talking about the Hand cursor, right? Top corner of the soundbite, the cursor changes to a hand, and you drag the cursor, changing its speed and duration rather than merely moving the soundbite edge. Correct? Still working in 8.01. Just verified that.
