One of three motu 896 has lost audio. I am using the motu 896hd, 3 units as an aggregate device with snow leopard/logic 9. everything has been relatively fine and this has happened before but the usual tricks (sample rate switching, restarts, etc) don't change the issue. I get signal on motu meters, and the computer now sees the 3 units.(when it first happened, it said 'no input device selected, and the 3rd unit wasn't appearing.)
I reset aggregate device, unplugged motus, tried the 120/240 volt "reset", plenty of restarts, but the audio is not recording. Just empty tracks. Its like the output (through firewire) is not working, but as mentioned, the computer now sees all three devices.
Very frustrating. Please help. thanks.

Re: lost audio from 1 of 3 in aggregate devices.
FOUND THE SOLUTION! But I don't know the cause.
Motu number 2 changed its optical input to ADAT, causing there to be additional inputs, so my third motu's input channel numbers weren't lining up anymore.
So simple if you know to look. thanks
