I am entertaining the idea of creating a server workstation to run DP8. On the grounds that servers do incredible things with processing I/O and using those advantages to achieve very low latency. (Not to mention the fact that the subtle differences between their approach to RAM enable more stability with far greater quantities of supported physical memory.) My question is: would DP8 work on Windows Server 2008 R2?
My associate with server experience doesn't see a reason why it should cause an issue but, he is unsure as he has no experience with DAW's.
Has anyone tried this, and if so were they successful?
